Empower Tennis Academy is a community-rooted tennis center in Dehradun, founded by Mr. Sanjeev Raj Gupta, a retired ONGC General Manager and lifelong tennis enthusiast. Nearly twenty years ago, he invested in land to build a recreational space where people of all ages could experience the joy of tennis.
Today, Empower Tennis Academy runs four red-clay courts in the heart of the city and is led by an AITA-certified coach and State Champion Mr RituRaj Singh, who also holds a State Olympic Gold Medal in Men’s Singles Open.
Despite limited resources, the academy has produced state-level players across junior and adult categories, while keeping coaching affordable for the local community.
Together with Serve for Change Foundation USA, Empower Tennis Academy helps us identify, support, and nurture under-resourced children who show talent and passion for tennis in Uttarakhand.
